Do people seem to mumble? Has anyone ever said you have selective hearing? Do you find yourself reading lips to understand normal conversations? Do you ever feel left out or alone because it is just too hard to understand or hear? Are you not enjoying the things you use to look forward to, like church or talking over coffee because it is too difficult?
If you said yes to any of these questions we can help. As we age, our hearing naturally tends to atrophy. While some folks resign themselves to a life of muffled sound, there’s no reason to let your hearing slip away. In fact, with our assistance, it’s never been simpler to gain the relief you so desperately require. You do not need to suffer in silence.
Our team currently caters to North Carolina residents of all ages, helping them to identify and address all of their hearing problems. We offer hearing exams which have been expertly designed to pinpoint the precise nature of your hearing problems.
Up until recently tinnitus (ringing in the ears) has had no real treatment. We are very pleased to announce that we are now evaluating patients suffering from tinnitus using the Tinnitus Handicap Inventory (THI). This is a new treatment for tinnitus that has had a great amount of success. It can be as easy as masking the tinnitus to a multidiscipline approach that may involve several disciplines of treatment. With the THI we now have a starting point and can correctly direct the patient in the direction they need to go for relief from their tinnitus.
Hearing Aids are used to amplify sounds so that someone with hearing loss can listen.
